Commuting from ORD might not be too bad. Between DL, UA and AA there are around 18 daily flights between ORD and CVG.

Typical price for a crashpad in cvg? Would it be better jfk or cvg? I have read the pay is only $800 a month during training, is this true? Also, is housing single or double occupancy during training? Also, is there a gouge to study for the 27 question test, such as aviationinterviews or something else where we can find what to study? Thanks for your responses...

I think ORD to JFK would be about the same as ease. Just make sure you use LGA as well. Plus it would be lots of mainline jets too between AA, UA, CO, DL, B6. Housing is single occupancy. We have a commuter clause. As long as you list for at least 2 flights that are an hour apart, and the 2nd is scheduled to arrive at least 30 mins before your report time, you are good. If you miss those, you are still expected to try if you can make it in.

I believe you will be paid 15 hours at 34.29 an hour minus taxes whatever that works out to be... We were told our class was the last class to also get per diem. So basically just over 800 with hotel.

Sax: Today we did our airport indoc and gave them our commuting airport, and Mrs. B said that she didn't think that my airport was a valid commuting airport because there is only one Delta flight a day, but there are 20 other flights between United Express, Express Jet, and USair express. I was like "huh", but don't think she is correct. I don't see why I couldn't list for the twoards the commuter clause. Any insight.. well anyone for that matter?

Contract says 2 flights and never specifies which airline.

Maybe she is getting it confused with the FAs whom I have heard say are required to list on DL flights as their 2 opportunities. Not 100% on the FAs though.

you say dont be a crash pad hermit in jfk...well the city sucks after the 20th time and something about paying 12 bucks for a beer just ****es me off... i agree its whats you make of it... but in my opinion i hated it

Thanks, and yeah I don't see anything in the CBA that says what airline... I figured she was trippin.

It does have to be a delta, comair, asa or any DL codeshare flight. thats how they check to see if u actually listed for the comute.. we jumpseat on other airlines but they have really no way of checking jumpseat only nonreving..goodluck

Where does it say this? I don't doubt that you may be correct, I just want written proof. Is it in an MOU?

I know for a fact that they have to submit two seat request boarding passes meeting the CO criteria to their supervisor.

So what are is the verdict? If I tried to list at a gate couldn't I get some kind of print out that it was full or something to turn in?

I was thinking... what if I live in a city with no Delta service... I don't get the benefit of the commuter policy, I think that is highly unlikely.
