I'm interviewing with Comair on the 12th and just have a few questions. I read in one gouge that they are looking to hire more high time people. I meet their mins, but I don't have much time (900/72). Would you say that I am at a disadvantage going into the interview, or is everyone pretty much on a level playing field once they're there?

Also, I have recently converted my paper logbook over to logbook pro. While going through my paper logbook I did find some errors which I corrected while switching to the electronic logbook. Is it okay to bring print-outs from logbook pro to the interview?

Nothing to worry about, they obviously want to hire you if they invited you to an interview.

I wouldn't worry, Like CRJdriver said, if they invite you they want you. I have similar time and was hired a couple weeks ago.

Sometime during ground school.

Both bases right now.

would CVG be an easy base to get?

Sure.

So yes or no on the ATP written?

Get it and be done with it!

where is training at?

I brought both, when I interviewed in '05. I actually printed out logbook pro and had it bound at kinkos for 5 bucks...works good.

When I interviewed for a job last year I just took the paper logbook (worked fine, got hired), I didn't have the time or patience to print out the logbook pro vesion. I use it more as a backup...I may print it out if I were to eventaully get an interview witha major of some kind.

Thanks for the info guys, I'll probably bring both to have everything covered.

Does anyone have a sample dispatch release? I know on the interview they ask you various questions from them, but I can't find an example of one on the internet.

Thanks in advance, I really appreciate you Comair guys helping everyone out. It seems like most threads on these forums can't go a full page without an argument about something. It's nice to see people helping others for a change (even if it is to gain seniority : ) )

I wouldn't worry about a Comair specific dispatch release. The typical questions relate to what is contained in a dispatch release which can be found in the 121 regulations.

I firmly believe its not the answer you give in an interview that is important, its HOW you answer.

From my experience last june with my interview all they did with the release was ask you to read a METAR, TAF, AIRMET, SIGMENT from it. That was the extent, and possibly the winds aloft.

They're not going to expect you to know company specific stuff, but you should have a working knowledge of 121 required items in a release.

It is my understanding that Comair pays for the hotel during training. Is that single or double occupancy?
