I worry that when/if Mesa fails it will create a vacancy to filled-maybe not immediately-by some outfit with the same genre as Larry Risling & J.O.

Somebody will have to do the flying Mesa loses.

It won't happen overnight and maybe it'll be Gojet? Sometimes you have to be careful of what you wish for.

Nah. The legacies are looking to cut RJ capacity (especially 50 seat capacity), not maintain or increase it. Getting rid of Mesa's current flying would be a perfect way to do that without having to pay any penalties for cancelling other existing RJ lift contracts. No one is likely to gain from Mesa's flying. Some other regional might get the opportunity to bid on Mesa's 700/900 flying but I'm sure the catch would be that they would have to replace existing 50 seat jets on a one for one basis. Thus, no actual gain in airframes for whichever regional gets the contract.

The Mesa management team has profitted off the backs of Mesa employees for too long.
...so another bottom feeder will take its place. There will ALWAYS be a bottom feeder. If and when Mesa does shut its doors, another carrier will soon own that title.

Good chance that a mesa shutdown would just contribute towards the industry-wide RJ reduction, although I'm sure their 700/900's would find homes elsewhere (but probably in exchange for 50-seaters).

Hopefully the next bottom-feeder will take note of that fact that MAG's abuse of employees led directly to a mass exodus, an inability to sustain required performance numbers, and contract termination. This might raise the bar as to what bottom-feeders think they can get away with in the future.

Eventually, there will be a bottom-feeder replacement for Mesa, but not tomorrow, and not quite as low as JO brought it down. Think more Trans States-like...

I don't think TSA (the airline, not the sham security organization) will stoop to that level. Now GoJets is another story. Perhaps you meant them?

Y'all at Trans States...I knew as well as you did when we all got hired on board there that we weren't working for a top-notch operation. Don't take anything I say personally! In fact, it's the ones that went in without that understanding that were the miserable ones.

Trans States is no Mesa, but neither are they an XJet, SkW, or RAH...again, it's just fact.
