It did when I got furloughed for 4 1/2 years. Might be your turn in the barrel soon though!

The professional letter from the devil himself:

I just received word from Atlanta that the judge in our case against Delta has made his decision. In this case we asked the court to enjoin Delta from canceling our contract until the matter could be heard in a full trial. I am told I by our lawyers that injunctions are difficult to get because you have to have the burden of evidence clearly on your side. I am greatly relieved to tell you that the Judge has ruled in our favor and enjoined Delta from canceling our contract at this time. While this is obviously very good news it does not mean we r out of the woods quite yet. I will give you more details as they become available. I want to thank everyone for your incredible professionalism and hard work during this very tough period. The folks at Freedom have been magnificent. You all deserve a huge amount of credit. This is a very good day for our company. As always please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

With great respect and appreciation, [most insincere a$$ out there]

OJ

Wow, I don't miss working for that illegal bottom feeding scumbag company.

This is really sick. Now mesa is the victim and Delta owes mesa. This is how far out of whack our legal system has become. Delta will win in the end and mesa will spend more in court than they will ever get out of Delta. The ominous reality is air apparent, know mesa is history as soon as the appeal goes through.
Perhaps the other code share partners will take heed, and mesa will never get a contract from another major carrier again after seeing what mesa's kabbal will do to keep the Delta golden cash cow paying them.
As a result of this "stay of execution", J.O.,from the security of his cactus Masada, gets time to hoodwink more people in the business community, while mesa's rotten sub-structure of fiendish managers will continue to abuse their employees.

In the meantime,

J.O. continues to acquire more gold to line his pockets.

It seems to have infected many carriers. Comair is not the only regional with upset pilots.

Scratch out TSA and insert EVERYBODY

I've even heard 300 or 400 pilots, mostly for attrition and "possible" growth. Obviously, no announcements have been made so far on what the possible growth entails.

As far as "growing in these tough times", Comair is really just playing catch-up to all the other Regionals. The "good times hiring spurt" everyone else just experienced is just now getting to Comair.

And even 400 new pilots won't bring Comair back up to their 2005 (pre-bankruptcy) staffing levels.
