that is why i am hesitant in posting this kind of stuff. especially this rumor. but they guy i got it from is so sure of it that i had to ask if anyone else has heard this floating around.
what i dont know is why now before the delta/nwa merger and will we remain seperate or be joined together under the alpa merger rules. once again like all rumors this one has yet to be proven. like you said, we shall see. i personally would prefer we get a contract over another airline.
i didn't know they stopped hiring. i thought they still were.

We shall see if this all comes to play, I have a lot of respect for the mesaba pilot group and if anything like this ever did happen, I would want to work with them right away to create the best scenario possible for both pilot groups. This is one of those rumours that you are like, whatever, I will believe it when i see it, but Delta and NWA do want to trim regionals and stuff like this will have to happen.

Ok...did a little research on this whole Pinnacle purchase of Mesaba...From what I heard...Mesaba and Compass are both under the holding company on the same ticket...Now in order for Pinnacle to be able to purchase Mesaba that would have to purchase Compass also...which is not going to happen...at least not yet. Rumor has it that NWA is building up Mesaba and Compass under to same ticket so they can be spun off...again another rumor.
The whole secret meeting that the company and union had this weekend is maybe for our contract...maybe the discussions will open back up. Again...you must wait until an official announcement from the union or the company...
My two cents...ignore everything unless you have written facts. I does however...make a good discussion on the Forums...good day to all
