I guess I'll just use the old interview gouges.

It was still till August if I wanted the Bro. Yea any gouge I would give you would pretty much be the same as all the ones posted on there. I'd take the ATP written if you haven't yet so you don't have to worry about it for the interview. Good Luck!

I talked to one of the RJ Captains who does interviews and he says they are interviewing AND hiring pilots every day in June. They also just send an email requesting applicants to become ground instructors - so something is definitely up.

Well, I put in my app recently. With my current track record, assuming I get an interview, SKW's stocks will plummet, hiring will freeze, and yet another reputable airline will be in shambles.

I just reread the email and it states, "The purpose of this interview is to select candidates for upcoming classes." Perhaps they mean upcoming in August.

Has anyone thought they are hiring people into a pool and might not even have any flying locked up yet. Then if they end up not getting additional flying "poof" class dates start to get pushed back and back until there is no class date.

This would be a valid concern.

Anyone have a suggestion which hotel to choose for the Skywest interview? Do they have shuttle pick ups from the airport? Do they have a shuttle to the Skywest hangar? Or do you have to get a cab? Lastly, does Skywest provide a shuttle from the hangar back to the airport at the end of the interviews?

Any hotel on the list they send you will work. They should all have a shuttle to and from the airport and hanger, at least I know the Candlewood and Comfort Suites do for sure. Tell them you are interviewing and they will give you the SkyWest rate. At the end of your interview call the hotel shuttle and they will take you back to the airport, SkyWest does not provide a shuttle.

Hope this is some help to you, good luck!

Candlewood becomes a prison once you get in training, so you might as well get used to it now! But either of the above mentioned works well. They will take care of your shuttle to/from the interview and airport.
