I wonder if any of the SKW guys here ACTUALLY know the order in which it happned? Some say that SKY got the pay before ASA's CBA and that got ASA pay rates up. Others say that ASA's raise helped bring up SKW's "average".

For some reason I'm leaning more towards ASA getting the rate and SKW riding the proverbial coattails.

I think some people get a TA confused with an actual CBA ratification vote. Once there is a TA, the pay and work rule negotiations are over even though it has not been ratified.

ASA got their TA late Sept 07, it was ratified and took effect on Nov 20.

SKW got their pay increase after ASA. Think about how negotiations work. Why would Jerry give the pay to SKW before ASA forced him to? Once ASA got higher payrates though, he had to give it to SKW to keep parity.

Also, while ASA's rigs and min day value is the same as SKW's, SKW was not the first regional airline to have min day and/or rigs. Far from it actually.

Hmmm...I must have hit the wrong button. I thought this was about UAX flying? Silly me.

I know. I was pointing out the fact that some of the guys posting on here that are not ASA seem to be confused as to when their "raise" came about. As well as what triggered it.

It's a safe bet that regardless of what the thread title is, the subject is why XJT is better than SKW, or vice versa.
