why did you get an offer at AE on Jan 2007 and chose RAH instead?

UnlimitedAkro 06-14-2008 09:12 PM

Only the old and grumpy are going to be furloughed. Thats straight from the training department.

bahhhh...i get done with training here in two weeks and i am hoping to get as much flying in before any sort of furloughs...what do you think my monthly flying hours might end up being with overstaffing like that???

I would imagine youll fly 50-60 hrs/month on reserve. We will always be short staffed, even if they downsize. The days of sitting at home all day without being called on reserve are far gone!

No, the posting said 10 CREWS per aircraft. He probably meant to say pilots, but he said crews. Since there are obviously new folks here trying to figure out if they are on the AMR hit list, I wanted to make sure they knew the real number.

OT - How do you delete posts? I notice the post I originally responded to is now gone... how do you delete on this BBS. I poked around a little and haven't found it yet.

Copied and pasted from the first line of the second posting in this thread.

"Well the airline staffs something like 10 pilots per aircraft."

thats good to hear...i may sound like one of those young ambitious types...however i just don't want to sit around all day and fly once or twice a week...if i'm stuck by the phone i'd rather go out and fly...

Then it was editted or deleted. The original post I responded to said Crews. How many time do I have to say it.
