Remember first thing you do when you make eye contact with the gate agent and smile, say hello, how are you.....from there life is easier!

depends. US lets you use a buddy pass on a ZED for Finnair and some others.

AF didnt let me sit in first but they did put me in the upper level of the 747 which has a extra 4 inch's of seat pitch. strange part is, the couple sitting near me were offered almost $1,000 to take a later flight because ours was over sold.

Like was said, depends on the agreement your carrier has with the other carrier. Some allow full use for EVERYBODY on your personal profile, others may restrict it to parents, spouse, children, but no companions.

There are some that will let my parents use a ZED, some not. Others, I can ZED but they have to use an ID50 something.

Have any of you guys had any luck cockpit or cabin jump seating on foreign carriers?

Sorry to resurrect an old thread.

I know if you're going into Canada, Air Canada treats you like kings when JS (cabin only) ... went to YYZ from DFW and got first both ways ... always remember to be polite and kind to the gate agent!!! Oh and bringing them chocolates never hurts
