Default "full schedule of Freedom ERJ flying..."

After July 2 Freedom has no flying on the ERJs in MCO or JFK. Today however, a memo was released from Mesa management to the Freedom pilots stating "full schedule of Freedom ERJ flying is anticipated very soon" and "all ERJ pilots on a 24 hour callout without a bid guarantee reduction". I am wondering if this is what Mesa management is guessing or what they know.

this is confirmed by Comair management yesterday. Because of the injunction delta is moving the flying back from comair to freedom until the case is heard in court.

this is kind of a way out question but how long do you think it will take until we know for sure the future of Freedom in JFK, and if Comair will get the flying?

Probably in a few months after the appeal is actually heard in court. Only Delta Network Planning would know who would be getting the flying, assuming Delta would be wanting to replace the lift at these fuel prices. They may just as well not cover all the flying as a way of reducing capacity.

Few months? Great, just in time for the fall reductions. I heart airline management.

Bubba,

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I dont think OH ever got any of the Freedom flying. The increase in block hours this month and July is merely where we used to be last year at this time. If I remember correctly, JFK had between 8500 and 9000 hours per month before last years reduction. Then we added some hours from GSO and added again for MCO closing.......My point being I dont think JFK actually go any hours that where from Freedom. Its just the summer schedule.

However, we again will suffer greatly when Big D cuts us back, I guess August?
