the good news is colgan is sooooo short staffed that even if they parked 20 saabs, we'd still be ok on staff. The bad news is how cornholed we all got up to this point. ponder that, lol

Okay maybe I could have put that more eloquently....

Guys, I gotta say I am sorry to hear about your reduction in capacity and truly hope it does not lead to putting Colgan pilots on the street. I have been at Pinnacle for 8+ years and can tell you that Buddy and his friends will not hesitate to do whatever equates to the largest profit margin with no regard to fairness or equity, including furloughing out of seniority if it pads their bottom line. We have a contract and it is routinely violated to the point of non exsistance. I shudder to think how we would be treated without any form of contract protection. I hope they do the right thing and wish you to be fairly treated, but if past experience with this company is any indicator of how management handles things, you guys will end up getting screwed. Good luck to everyone at Colgan from a Pinnacle pilot that sees us all in this mess together.

50-60 pilots sounds high for 4 planes.

Multiply by 2 and you get 8 planes and 100 pilots. Thats the way management thinks. I listened in on the call too. I wouldn't be surprised if they were being conservative to prevent panic. I have heard more like 8 planes being taken off line. Don't believe everything you hear, read between the lines a little.
