Quit blaming Colgan pilots... we don't like our management team any more than you do and are trying to improve things while we are here.

Come on guys Colgan "pilots" are not to blame its a job...

Ok I can't believe I have to say this: You are flying an RJ, i.e. mainline routes at regional salary, who is the bottomfeeder? I fly a turboprop for a regional to regional airports. Not great pay but we don't hurt the industry as much as you.

Back to the topic at hand,

This was to be expected, we now belong to Pinnacle Holdings and it would be stupid to keep double operating expenses: IT, crew scheduling, dispatch. Basically I expect VA to be gone pretty soon and everything to be handle in Memphis.

Kind of like how Mesaba and Compass have the same person/team do theirs
Does that mean that Compass's website stinks too?

I am a web developer at Pinnacle. There was some lag time in the DNS propagation and a small config mistake in our Apache server that caused some people to be inadvertently redirected to the Pinnacle employee web for about an hour.

We launched the new site this week to replace the old crew web site which was quite buggy and quickly becoming unmanagable. We expect some hang ups along the way, but that's always the case when transitioning to a new system. The new site will actually be for all employees and not just crew members. The content is currently quite sparse because we haven't received any content from the content owners. A lot of it is probably out of date too, but our team doesn't create the content, we just post what is given to us. However, all of the content on the previous crew web is there under Departments -> Crew except for the stuff that fit better under other categories such as benefits or accounting.

We are really trying to make things better for you guys, but keep in mind we have a web team of 3 people supporting something in the neighborhood of 7 websites between Pinnacle Corp. Pinnacle Inc. and Colgan. The new site won't be perfect, but hopefully as it matures it will be much more helpful than the old one.

Have you heard about Colgan getting PBS and/or allowing us to do more scheduling issues online such as trip trades, etc?

Appreciate your honesty. When I first started here close to three years ago, prebuy out, the IT stuff at Colgan was a joke. Vast improvements have been made. Thank you.

Check your PM's NWA757

I of course wish furlough on nobody. But if you guys will continue to bash us I will give it back. It is immature but I am not going to sit and listen to someone rant over and over about something they are not informed on.

And your "sounds like a non-union pilot" line is laughable. Is it professional to bash other pilots 24/7 like some of your brothers do?

I wish nothing but luck for all of XJet and all pilots. We are all pilots in tough times and all doing what we can to make things better, including many of us trying to get a union on property.

I am more than willing to stop my remarks if your boys are willing to take a break as well...but you and I know they wont stop.
