Where did you see that? Or are you just talking the $50 a year?

DL started a mileage fee for all express employees Dec 7. It was eventually rescinded, but they do charge mileage for parents, designated guest, and buddy passes. This last April they added a fuel surcharge to buddy pass travel on top of the mileage fees.

Hmm, that's a new one on me. I guess I have yet to get that bill, as I, my parents, and many buddy passes have traveled numerous times since then.

Let's take it a little further. Which Homo sapiens can't make ends meet with 70,000 USD per year? Any airline pilot that makes more than that should have to give it back. In fact, everyone should get the same pay, then we could live in harmony and sing together over the holidays (no one works holidays either!)

Or we could have all just voted for Hillary!

I don't have a problem with somebody making a good salary. I'd like to make a good salary one day. My problem comes when you're making a TON of money, and the company is not. Worse still, when you fire hundreds of employees, and still find enough cash laying around to give yourself a multimillion dollar bonus. How does that make any sense?

Well, that's the reality of business. Sure, I'd like to say it's not fair, but that's the way it has always worked. Until share holders put enough pressure on board members to change the 'theory' about hiring high priced 'talent' at the executive level, the system will remain the same. Own enough shares and you can put the bug in their ear!

And tell your politicians to sponsor laws to keep shareholder accountability strong, too. :)

? are you saying that your parents and buddy pass riders fly free?

Its called weight restricted....I have had a company that will remain nameless give numbers (weight) based on the shortest runway which is never used for TO...mistake or intentional?

Parents yes, buddy pass no. Parents get 18 free travel days a year then they pay. Although I think this is only at Delta and Comair and at one time ASA as well. Because being Pwned by Delta is everything!

Someone at any of the other Delta airlines can correct me if I'm wrong.
