Comair Hiring Again
#1
Just heard from a buddy of mine who was furloughed from Comair that hes getting called back April 3, plus APC confirms that are hiring again? Question: I assumed the furloughs were because of the planned reduction of 30 CRJ's from the fleet. Has this changed?

I have no idea but APC is pretty quick at updating info. I know about a month ago it changed to recalling. I know that Comair was looking for ways to grow including maybe working for other outfits. I dunno if they can do that or if it was true though just hearsay.

My other question is about CHQ. Is GSO a senior or junior base? Will they be purchasing E-195 or will that a/c stay with the other airlines under the Republic Holdings banner?

As far as any route increases, I wouldn't put it past a regional...even Comair, from taking some more mainline routes as Delta and NWA are kinda in a corner right now.

GSO is also pretty senior. JFK and CVG most junior. Hiring because we got back five 700's that were supposed to be returned to lenders and we are loosing 5 pilots a week from what I understand. They are also looking at some new bases for summer. BOS and DCA mentioned. UBA727
