I understand your point, but if the reduction was implemented as planned, then you would have no need to furlough. The company would have time to assigned displaced pilots as the flying picks up again. It’s the sudden cancellation that results in furloughs. Thanks gain MESA.

P.S. I do not work for Republic, just voicing my opinion.

flycrj, do you have a personal vendetta against Mesa? It seems that quite a few of your posts in many different threads are all bashing them....

Nothing personal, just stating the facts.

Please know that we will continue to work hard to find solutions to the challenges our industry is facing, and we will not rest until we have all our people safely back to work."

All I can say is... wow.

As high up as he is in the Mormon Church, at least Jerry Atkin leaves his religion out of the workplace when he talks to us.

You think that is bad, you should see his religious holiday messages!

Its mainly the CAL CRJ's and the still homeless F9 170s that are causing it. Its basically a straight up 1 for 1 replacement for the DAL 135s/175s this fall.

As random as it is... I have no problem with religion in messages.... After all we are "One Nation Under God...."

But that's just me- 10 years ago if someone said "God Bless you" when a person sneezed it was replied with "thanks", now you need to stick with "Bless you" or you are using to much religion in the workplace.

Sorry for Republic, I can only hope that there are not any more cuts across the board- I know at least one friend that is looking for work from the last round over there. I am surprised more carriers are not trying to sign on Republic for the 170's. Did you guys get the 170's that were flying under the frontier banner in service with someone else?

Yeah bummer guys...How many 140/145s do you fly for Delta? I've been seeing a Delta Connection EMB-145 in IAH lately with RP on the end.

The planes you see in IAH run from CVG. We starting do that route last month, I think.

As for the number 145s for DAL, we have 18 or so.

I personally have no problem with the "religion" in his messages... ( fwiw, i recently left RAH for a corp gig ) ,,,, his HOLIDAY messages well...he does two... one more secular if you prefer and another more religious.... your choice to read either one....

RAH will be fine... they knew last year that the 135's were going... and yes this certianly is a push up of that timetable.... but as someone stated above the overage is more due to the mutual pulling of the frontier flying and has caused most of the turmoil.

You can pretty much blame Freedom/Mesa for that one. Delta has give Freedom all the flying back that they have cancelled out of JFK and MCO. And since MCO is closed now, Delta had to give some of the flying out of CVG to Freedom. That’s why you guys are losing the flying sooner than what was planed. I hope none of you get furloughed because of this. It’s always the bottom feeder that screws the test of us. Good luck to all.

Let me get this straight. Delta cancels our contract, possibly putting 300 of our pilots out of a job. We fight it in court, get a temporary injunction in our favor, and some flying gets re-instated.

We got screwed, fought it in a proper and legal way, and we're the bad guys?

What would you have us do? Turn down the re-instated flying and furlough our people?

Look to Delta with these concerns, since were all pawns in their chess game.

I don't understand why any DCI carrier is loyal to Delta, or trusts them as far as they can throw them. They've demonstrated they don't care about any of us or our contracts, but only about their shrinking needs.
