Comparing Position Notice 08-15 AT7 Displacement Bid (july 21) with Position Notice 08-16 Jet CA Displacement Bid (Aug 1), has anyone else made the following observation --

CR7 CA Max/Min increased from 190/174 to 198/188 (currently 198)
CR7 FO Max/Min increased from 190/174 to 224/198 (currently 205)
CR2 CA Max/Min increased from 480/384 to 532/441 (currently 522)
CR2 FO Max/Min increased from 480/384 to 551/441 (currently 499)

Is this a sign the company is OK with the current number of pilots, since we were overstaffed on all aircraft under the old numbers (and thus no furloughs planned)?

Or is that reading too much into the numbers?

Man I can't figure out how to read that chart also. But I THINK this may also be a bad thing because like you said that means we are overstaffed. So does this mean that we are allowing ourselfs to be overstaffed to the max and it leads to your point of no "f" OR on the flip side that we are overstaffed so don't be shocked when we "f". I don't know....... :(

Someone please decode this chart for me, Im a little dense on such things...

JetPipeOverht 08-02-2008 05:39 PM

ex: cr2 ca max/min 480/384....Max captains are 480, min are 384...499 at present....499-480=19 going ELSEWHERE

Confused 08-02-2008 06:24 PM

No if the new max is 551 and the new min is 441 and we have 499 our number is right in the middle of the new MAX/MIN number.

CaribPilot 08-02-2008 07:10 PM

What determines these max-min numbers anyway?
