Hey Jetjock. Being that I had the Aug 4 class and they canceled the july class, when would you expect me to get back in. Also, do you think Ill still be able to hold somewhat of a line in a matter of months.

I really can't say anything more that hasn't already been said on here before. There will be Bro classes long before any newhires are put into the CRJ. Right now "big if" there were a CRJ class you could get SLC with out a problem.....FAT probably.......MKE no way......ORD.....probably not going to happen and all other bases....there would be a chance unless its California. All subject to change of course at any time. The list getting into ORD at the moment is getting longer and longer with the Midwest reduction. I have 600ish folks behind me on the seniorty and I will be lucky to get into ORD from SLC by the end of the year. If your out there swimming in the pool...try to get on the EMB and go to FAT. You will have a line before you know it! PSP would be a close second, but FAT has the better trips in my opinion and you can fly with JetJock! Good night, I have to pack my crap up so I can finaly get out of the Candlewood already!

I've heard rumors that the next RJ class may not be until next spring. Even if it's sooner there are plenty of EMB FOs that are off seatlock that could bid it. Newhires in an RJ class could be a long time off, take the EMB if at all possible.

The EMB-120: Not quite the Dash 8, but still one of God's gifts to the regional business.
On a side note, the 3 main T-Props out here on the west coast have been the Saab (Eagle), Dash 8 (Horizontal), and the E120 (SKW) for many decades. Now Horizontal has add the Q400's which doesn't fly the same routes as us so, even though it is still a T-Prop, is slightly outside the original 3's group because it fly’s more RJ like routes. I'm pointing this out because I'm going to miss our "West Coast Threesome" which is sadly coming to an end later this year. That is with AE pulling their Saabs and Horizontal dropping their Q2's. I'll miss buzzing up and down the west coast, from SEA to SAN with you guys. It also means that we are now the slowest 121 a/c on the west coast now, a distinction that was held by the Saab followed by the Dash 8. ps. I don't count Mesa's Dash8's in PHX and DEN, that's technically not west "coast" flying and I know that Mesa fly's them to Carlsbad but that’s still not the same. |
