Way to go MAG MEC! The contract had a lot of "at the company' discretion" and a lot of other ambiguous stuff.

Mucho number one thing, have a definitions section as thick as a bible. Something with every instance you can think of will put an end to fly it grieve it. And place some penalties on company bull****.

Congrats guys! Definitely a step in the right direction. Obviously you have to look at these things with skepticism (sp). Management would love for you to agree to a new agreement, then to just turn around and file bankruptcy and throw that thing in the trash, just to hold on to some of you a little longer. False hope if you will. During the Delta bankruptcy they told Comair that the pilots were paid too much and the pilots gave in to pay cuts. Then what happened? A handful of Comair's 70 seat aircraft were given to ASA and look at what ASA pilots are paid compared to Comair. Comair has a cheaper operating cost and still lost the airframes.
Not trying to start a My Airline is Better Than Yours thread, but I am just trying to say that management is not going to pat you on the back given the state of the industry. Go into a TA with enough on the table prepared that even if they renig a bunch of it, that you still have enough left to provide you with a decent quality of life. |

It is time for ALPA to grow a pair and force J.O. to the table and get everything that is deserved. With the stock price hovering near 50 cents, he is over a barrell.
It is time for Mesa pilots to stand up and get what is owed and finally shed the stigma from the rest of the industry. BEST OF LUCK GUYS! STAND FIRM AND UNITED! Speaking of "United" perhaps it's time for a www.JOrnstein.com like the UAL ALPA hosted Home - Save United - Remove Glenn Tilton. Wow. Don't mess with United pilots... |
Congrats and Good Luck! I hope your contract comes through. However I dont see JO as willing to cave. Hes such a huge a-hole i think he would cut off his nose to spite his own face. Meaning the guy has money and could live happy. He is so hostile to his labor I dont think he will cave just to screw you guys harder for inconveniencing him with this new contract he dosent feel you deserve(but clearly do) and let the whole thing go up in flames. But hope for the best and maybe........
