IMHO I don't see them closing a pilot domicile and leaving a FA domicile in the same place.

They've done it before. But, in this case they jumped the gun with the base closure.... mostly out of anger about the union shooting down their TA. Within an hour of being notified that the TA (co-domicile TA) was not going to be approved.... the displacement/vacancy bid went out... on a Sunday night. Can you say "****ed off and over reacted without thinking."

So what's going on over at Eagle now a days? Still no 'f' word from what I can gather.

Word is they will start hiring sometime in spring 09.

Thats what I heard when I talked to two check airment for AE...they said the earliest would be March and at least by May...but I'll keep my fingers crossed

yeah i'm curious at how they're going to be handling themselves with people in the pool. I was one of the 30 some people in the May 26th class that was cancelled. so hopefully I'm one of the first they call to redo the interview/sim to see if they still want me.

yeah i waswas gonna be in the june 9th class and had just finished jet orientation (there was suppose to be 30 in that class also)

I flew to kingman last weekend and I saw more than 10 planes parked (saab340 and e-135)with American Eagle colors.So I wonder if they will start hiring next year.

Those parked planes were all planned and expected. Its impossible to say if or when we will hire again...but eventually it will have to happen. We lose 25 people a month. They have to be replaced. As long as gas doesn't spike again I would expect hiring to commence in the near future. A few months to a year.
