Been here about 4 years, moved up 1 number last month (not counting Executive).

We got a message yesterday from the mother ship. They are still saying Boston will close and JFK will be populated in three waves over Nov, Dec and Jan. AA wants us to do an additional 1700 hrs of flying in NY, and because of this we will be getting 135s out of storage. A new flow plan came out the other day and I think there is another vacancy bid coming out soon to get more crews to NY for the additional flying.

I think the additional flying is really good and I hope it shows the company that maybe planning to hack off all that flying wasn't a great idea. I'm hoping that this JFK thing blows up on management and really makes them look stupid. Of course if that happens it'll be someone else's fault.

What the company hasn't said publicly yet is that they don't have the space at LGA for the extra airplanes that are no longer being parked. Even if they leave spares in BOS for overnights, and use the hardstands they don't have enough space for the extra planes with 20 extra departures per day at LGA. Parking them at JFK isn't an option since they did not get a codomicile agreement, which means any bussing crews of over to get a plane is part of their duty day, and by contract they have to return them to LGA at the end of the trip... so leaving spares at JFK doesn't help. Look for Boston to stay open as a crew base until May, when the extra hours of flying sent back from mothership will either be extended or not.

Eagle in Spring of '09

Is eagle accepting applications? Would it be appropriate to submit an application now, or wait?

Thanks!

Spoke with a recruiter at ERAU's career fair a few days ago. I think they're putting people in a pool. The earliest she predicted hiring was April next year. She also said there's no harm in filling out the app on airlineapps.com and just keeping it updated.

yeah, get in the pool as fast as possible...Eagle is so stable of a company that you'll be fortunate to always be swimmin or always have 3 stripes.

join us in the pool...yeah the earliest I heard hiring was gonna happen was right around april/may...so we'll see

Where are you getting these numbers from? The CP office in Dallas told me that they had ONE resignation in the entire month of September.

This is flame bait. My number moved up 15 in Chicago alone. over 40 overall between Sept and October.

When a displaced EMB/CRJ or SAAB pilot senior to you moves to the ATR, you will move up a number in SABRE because they move to another certificate. Your master seniority number remains unchanged.
