YES, they love it when you call and offer to cover days when they are short. And, for some reason, they love to schedule themselves short some days and really fat others. I just swapped a day that had 6 reserves and no open trips for one that had two reserves and two open trips. In cases like that, they'll actually thank you for calling.

Also, if they are short and can't get coverage you can sit reserve for an extra 3.75 per day which will be paid above and beyond your guarantee. And if you do it within the JR man window, if they call you you'll get 150% your hourly rate.

Something to think about but be careful, some don't like it when you try to make more money. Just don't do it at someone else's expense.

Unbelievably thankful for you posting this. For the first time since starting in Jan I am reserve all of Sept in SLC. I have been trying to get other reservists to swap some days with me to no avail, then today I read your post, checked sked plus and sure enough the days I wanted off had full coverage and I was off on some that had red arrows, called crew support and likety split I got my days off to go kayaking. thanks again for posting this info

So....I am on reserve for most of September in SLC. Thankfully I have lots of vacation time and was able to get most of them off. Now can I pick up open time trips in ORD on my skd days and vacation days off? I see there are quite a few of them up on Skd+.

Are there red arrow days for the month of Sept in SLC? I don't see any on my skd plus? Then again, I am still in training limbo land as I am doing IOE right now.

Actually ATR FOs have a red arrow on Sept 1

Good thing I got my off day move exchange for that day like 5 days ago!! Eat that suckas!

Just use Sked+ at midnight to move some more off days, way more painless then FLICA, it's was instanteous, and fairly easy to navigate.

Only negative was that it only lets you exchange reserve days with ones that are at the beginning/end of your block of days. I rememdy this by moving the day one at time till it got moved to where I wanted it, a little extra hassle, but was able to accomplish what I wanted. (I don't think this would be considered working the system, would it?)

When you open Sked+ click the Open Time tab that is at the very top. It will then show you your schedule with all the reserve days on it, etc. Click on the colored bar during the day of duty you want to move. It will pop open a screen that says reserve details. Click the exchange link and it will take you to another screen where you can select the day you want "exchange". Check the day you want to move (using it tonight it only allows you to select the day either at the beginning or the end of the block of reserve days) and then there is a small field on the right where you can find through a calendar the day of reserve you now want to work (in other words select the off day you want to move here). Click Next and then it will ask you for your password, put that in and click submit and it sends it into the queue where it should be processed within 60 seconds after it checks legality.

Hopefully that makes sense, pm me if you still don't understand
