Default Other Crews ever take your hotel rooms?

So my crew showed up at the holiday inn this evening to check into our rooms and they had us our paper.... Capt and I immediately notice something fishy when there were 3 of our 8 rooms for the night were already signed for, and since we were the crew taking out the first flight in the morning... we knew something was off. We knew the crew coming in later to overnight and none of the names matched. After a few minutes of digging around we got the clerk to call the room and find out what company the crew was from. Turns out is was MESA. Honest mistake on their part, their schedule showed they were staying at the Holiday Inn Express same as us, but their scheduling said they should be at the Hampton in or something like that. Any ever have something like this before? seemed pretty funny at the time. But if we didn't catch it the evening crew wouldn't of had anywhere to stay and would have been ticked

After our crew returned from dinner we could hear the desk girl screaming at someone from MESA over the phone how they were paying for the rooms.

we all laughed

I was given a room in Denver that had not been cleaned, with the bed still unmade and towels on the floor in the bathroom. The key slip in the room said "MESA" on it. Do they just try to mess with everyone else?

Hilton gave me a room one night. Went up to the room and opened the door to find an Eagle crew member already had the room. The crew member was not in his room but there was their flight bag and stuff. thankfully The Juice is an honnest person and shut the door and went back for another room.

I have had one unclean smelly room in
Ottawa but I hear this sort of thing happens from time to time, not to mention Mesa rarely pays bills until many months later. They get kicked out goto another hotel then when about to get the boot from that hotel pay the bill for the prior one and are graciously welcomed back. This isn't rumor, I lived it!

Always, always, hang the do not disturb tag. That SHOULD keep folks out who were issued a room already occupied.

One time around 12am, I was awoken by sounds of someone trying to gain access to my room by unsuccessful repeated attempts with the card key. Finally I just got out of bed in my boxers and wife beater and opened the door, it was a Southwest FO. I told him you have the wrong room, he said sorry about that, I proceeded to go back to sleep. I have also done this once or twice mostly because of incompetent front desk. One time I walked in on an old couple sleeping. Another time I walked in on a couple that were awake. Nothing worse than that picture, having an airline pilot walk into your room while you're chilling on the couch. From then on, it's always been bolt/do not disturb sign for me.
