Not beyond the 50-70 we sent home from training about a month ago.

With the post summer slowdown, we are extremely overstaffed so I can see why people would think we might.

Example. 80 lines in PHX and 150 guys in each seat.

My friend was in the May 5th class and so far, still flying. I would guess that is close to the bottom of the seniority list.

The whispers are spring 2009 with Delta. Unknown regarding Aloha.

I have heard that Mesa has sent out a letter warning they may have 100 CRJ captains go back to the right seat. Would this mean that they are going to furlough 100 FOs? Mesa pilots, any truth to this?

We're hearing whispers of a displacement of 100 CA's and 80 F/O's all off the CRJ.

Were still junior assigning people, and they just restarted CRJ vacations 2 months ago. Don't understand how we could go from extremely short to 180 fat in 2 months.

I can't speak for Mesa, but I can speak about displacements/furloughs from experience.

If they displace 100 captains back to FO, that creates 200 surplus FO's. 100 less captains = 100 less FO's...when the 100 captains displace back to FO, that makes another 100 junior FO's redundant.

Is this the DAL stuff, or the united CRJ's?
Good luck to all involved
