I guess that about sums it up. Pinnacle must be getting mesa's 900's.

The only other theory I have heard is this. Mesa's 900's will be parked for now. Delta just wants to cover their A** and make sure mesa doesnt win another injunction or file for breach of contract and have a judge force them to give the airplanes back. I understand all of the arguments about how Delta owns these airplanes and losing them wont force Mesa into bankruptcy but Delta knows JO will at least file a lawsuit and try so they are covering.

Because of that Delta has moved comiars current 900's up to JFK to cover all of the Freedom 900 flying currently out of JFK. Pinnacle moves up some of their 900 deliveries that they postponed until 2009 and back fills comair's absence in CVG.

That might explain the 60-90 Day Evaluation time. Or they are just preparing to take all of Freedom's 900's and open a base in CVG.

I was told CVG will be a focus city not a base.

Hmm how about a trade. Pinnacle can have all the Mesaba MEM 900 flying and give us back CVG... any takers?

I got a buddy who works in SOC planning at Delta (and of course I know the I have a friend in etc... so take it for what its worth) and he says that 9E will move out of ATL and be in CVG and JFK. Dont know any time frame or if it will even happen.

Well that would support SB telling some folks the other day that Comair will be down to less than 1,000 pilots by January.

Now the real question is do I apply now at 9e, mesaba or compass?

Interesting the parallels between this Midwest / Republic

and now Pinnacle / Comair.

fantastic

Well, then it has to be true if it's coming from him...

Everyone just needs to shut up and do their job.

Why does Pinnacle fly/base out of CVG, a DL hub? Aren't they NWA Airlink? Or am I behind the times... again?
