Security Clearence
I was just trying to fill out airline apps and curious about the 10 year address history. During college, there were periods of time where I just slept on some dude's couch for a couple months, or was out of town for a couple months and things like that. However, I had a mailbox at my school that my drivers license, pilot's license, ect. were listed under.
Should I try and fill out every random apartment I stayed at, since I can't imagine they could verify my stay with any landlord, or should I just leave the mailbox number for the entire time I was in college?

Are you trying to get a security clearance or are you applying to an airline. The information I would furnish would depend on that point.
If you're filling out an application I'd suggest that mailing addresses would be fine.

The airline will pull your credit report, which will list any address you used to get a Macy's card, a car loan, etc. You might want to get your own copy of that too.
