You're correct though, Lakes pilots don't make that much even as captains. If you want to make a regional a career then you should go for the pay and QOL (Lakes has neither). But if you want to be in a position to move to a major when things open up (and they will), then you better get your PIC time. You will do that faster at Lakes then just about anywhere else. It would suck to meet a great connection at FedEx but they can't help you out because you are stuck in the right seat with no PIC. A buddy of mine is in that position and he wishes he had gone to Lakes. |

Lakes was never hiring street captains. The newerst captains that we have are guys who have been CA's here and have moved on to the majors but have recently gotten furloghed. These people are ones that left and did not burn the bridge.
