There's a lengthy Lakes thread already on here. The search feature works well.

Well in my biased opinion I think all pilots should transition from piston to turbo prop, get some hours there and then go to jets. I will say the B190 is a great platform for honing your skills as a pilot, some days I miss the beast when I am having random thoughts at FL370. The flip side is the pay is less than low at Great Mistakes as an FO, but it is like that at most regionals. So it is all about determination and long range goals!

It's not quite like that at most regionals. $16/hour is unlivable for most people.

And most regionals don't have something like a 3 month upgrade for FOs with upgrade minimums either. Captain pay is more humane than their FO pay.

Where are your CAs going during this fabulous time in our industry, especially with 1900 time? People should plan their employment based on how much money the place offers not what they'll make when they'll upgrade which is still less than a 2 year jet FO and almost the same as 1st year jet FO.
