I am trying to get ahold of some contacts working for the Hawaii State Department of Transportation to see if there are any preparations for this... for example, the airports will need new ramp and parking lines, ticket counters, etc.

I once thought Island Air would have stepped up their game, but I guess they didn't.
How many aircraft does Mokulele operate? There's a significant amount of start-up cost with getting those aircraft and crews all the way out there. how can a couple 14 seat aircraft pick-up the tab on all of that? Generally a larger airline subcontracts a smaller one. Not the other way around. Any idea where he's getting all his money from to pay for this? The first fuel bill alone on those aircraft would be enough to trump the income from a few caravans. Of course this could be more of a deal brokered by RAH using RAH money, planes, and pilots, with a Mokulele paint job. 2 aircraft making an "exploratory" entry into their own market.

WP has been a complete no-factor in the inter-island market shake-up since AQ went down. They've actually DECREASED their fleet size, cut out a few frequencies to JHM, LNY, and MKK, passed out a few furlough notices, and are still only running four aircraft per day. They didn't exactly try to seize any kind of opportunity that presented itself post-Aloha.
