Default Why not Cleveland?

Ohio seems like a nice place to live? Home's are cheap, and it seems like there on bigger lots? So, give me the dirt on XJT in Cleveland. If I were hired, I thought Cleveland would be a nice place to move my family to.

I dont know much about the area around CLE, but I do know that they are cutting back on the amount of flying they do out of there. Also, you will sit reserve for longer. Youd have to tlak to someone more experienced for the nitty gritty.

Default Line schedule question

I've heard a rumour that after you've done your time on reserve at Express Jet (no, not going to get into asking how long that is going to be!), that you're "line" is 7 days on, 7 days off.

Can anyone comment on the truth of this rumour?

Thanks,

marinepilot

I havnt heard that one. The contract says that the longest "on" period is 6 days, then a minimum of 2 days off before your next duty period. So, I'd way nope. not true. They also guarantee 12 days off a month.

Regs only allow for 6 days on in a row anyway, so I'd say not true. Unless they know something I don't know.

Um, no. More like 4 on 3 off as an average if your holdong between 12-14 days off a month. You can trade and manipulate (sometimes) to get a block of 6-7 days off at one end (or middle) of the month.
