There was no "attitude meant in my post sir. I was merely pointing out that I aminterested in GA SKies. PW and NM Airlines are owned by the same people but they are different companies. Sorry if youtook it the wrong way.

An entry level job is going to pay weak rates in any industry. That's a simple truth of market job economies. However, if you were to cheerfully take this job as a stepping stone to something better one could build experience while making use of the active flight instruction markets existing in Athens, Atlanta and Macon. Quality of life happens to be excellent in all these places as well. Capiche?

 

You are right. I am an active flighgt instructor in the Atlanta area and that and the National guard is whats been keeping me fed while I wait for a class date

You sir are confused. I am flying a caravan for more money than I made at the regional I am currently furloughed from. Not only that they pay for my medicare, which is an extra 200 a month that I dont have to pay. I can think of quite a few regionals that aren't even close to that. All I can think is you are comparing Pacific Wings FO pay to Regional FO pay, which you can't because the airplane does not require an FO. So why would the company pay an FO 50,000 a year for a single pilot airplane? Pizza delivery guys make 8 bucks an hour, which the only pay you could compare that to is Lakes and Mesa. Trust me it is not a bad place to be right now, There are a lot of pilots looking for any kind of flying with no luck. No Captain at Pacific Wings is lowering the bar for anybody, for that you must look to Mesa, Lakes, etc.

 

The Bills, you work for pacific wings, PIC in the Caravan? Just clarifying. This thread is confusing.

 

And the regulations in which this operation is flying in Georgia requires an FO, therefore the SIC time can be logged despite it being a single pilot airplane?
