Georgia Skies

Does anyone have any current inoformation on this operation? I have read the previous threads about it but was wondering if there is any current news? Thank you.

Georgia Skies is pacific wings (the hawaiian based company). They fly Caravans. They have plans on expanding. There hiring CA's and FO's. CA's start at 2500/mo and FO's start at 1200/mo. Its not a bad place to work right now.

Whereis G/S based in Georgia? Depending on where it is you could fly their routes and flight instruct on the side at the same airport.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Captain pay is 30k a year and FO pay is... 14,400 a year? Not exactly what I would call a great place to work...

Geez man what do you want in a time builder job? You could make upwards of 50k with a little moxy and still be home most nights.

If you are a FO then it will suck if you are a captain then it will suck a little less but still suck. I use to work for them in Hawaii. But if thats your only option for work then I'd probably do it.

You won't make any extra at Pac wings unless you break out the knee pads!

Its a single pilot airplane, that explains the FO pay. They only have FO's because EAS requires a co-pilot. So if you have 135 mins you can be Captain. The flying outside of Hawaii seems to be much better, for example in NM we dont work longer than a 7 hour duty day and are home every night. Supposedly that is going to change next month. As a furloughed pilot it is a good place to be...trust me. You could put it this way too...I make more flying 9 people than Great Lakes CA's make, and my medicare is paid for by the company.
