Hey, I not trying to stir any pots here... I was reading about the 170 on wikipedia, eventually ended up reading about RAH. And came across that info. It ws posted right below the midwest flying and above the Hawaiian flying. But now its gone...
Hopefully someone in here saw it as well when I first posted the link here on APC, and can back me up on this...

By the way I am furloughed from S5, and currently with Compass, that being said I am not trying to start any rumors or flaimbaits here. I was just curious if I was the first one to discover this info...

If anyone else saw it, please back me up here...

B1900YX, read my post above yours.

Oh and to give you some more info on Wikipedia. Jack Johnson was the CEO of ExpressJet the other day.

Here's the post on Wikipedia you were refering to:
Old Republic Airlines page on Wikipedia

"On November 1, 2008 Republic Airways Holdings entered into an agreement to operate 10 EMB 190s for U.S. Airways in return for the $35 million dollar loan Republic will make to U.S. Airways"

It was false and removed.

I just want to say thanks to everyone who didnt believe in this craziness and didnt blow it out of proportion.

Yeah, I shouldn't have directed my post at you, it was intended for whoever went onto Wikipedia and changed info. That's why Wikipedia is somewhat unreliable at times. The info is easily tampered with. Sorry for making it seem like an attack towards you.

a) RAH guys stop thinking the 35 mil is a big loan. Airways secured somewhere close to 800-900 mil in loans in the last few months. And you have no idea who loaned the rest.
b) you have no pay scale for a 190. not that you need one cuz it will prob be flown just as cheap as the 170-175.
c) Airways will not allow an express carrier to fly an aircraft with a 1st class. And you are already beyond the scope now.
d) if it was true....why 10? they wont have mainline fly 13 and you fly 10...it would be all or nothing....
please RAH guys check yourselves.

Just to correct you on this -

We do have a pay scale for 79-99 Turbojet Aircraft. It doesn't specifically state E190 as it does in the APC Quicktake, but we have a payscale that would fit for the USAir E-190 configuration.

I am not going to say whether or not we should get them. All that I ask is that you research information prior to posting it here.

The ironic thing, too, is that after year 12, a Republic E190 Captain (which I know doesn't exist right now) is actually making more in a 190 than a USAir Captain. At year 15, a 170 Captain is making more than a USAir 190 Captain. So I ask you, who is flying them just as cheap?

I'm just getting really tired of pilots blaming pilots about lessening the profession, taking jobs, doing the same job for cheaper money, etc. Everyone talks about unity - where is it? Last I checked, it was management making the decisions. In the end, I just want to fly and make sure that I have enough money to support my family.
