How far in advance do you know what your schedule will be?

Here at Commutair we bid individual trips not lines and scheduling has the right to change those trips to make the entire bid work, which they always do. It is now 4 days before our new bid starts and we have no schedule yet. No one knows if they will be working over Thanksgiving or not.

How far in advance does everyone else find out what their schedule will be?

Wow, seems like a great organization you got there.

Generally at comair, bid packets for the next month come out in the beginning part of the month before.

for example

December bid packets are released somewhere from Nov. 1-12th.

Schedules for the next month usually come out maybe 10 days before the current month is over, with a schedule adjustment window that closes a handful of days before the beginning of the new month.

chq bid packets come out on the 12th and we get the schedules on the 19th of every month

AMR pilots find out today their schedules for next month. The exceptions being RLF and CMP lines who get their schedules after the trip trade window closes...

Bid packets arrive on or about the 15th of each month, and the bids close five days later at 1200 central time. This month they arrived on the 16th and closed today the 21st.

To add to Mason per Eagle's contract:

to each pilot at each domicile on or before fifteen (15) days prior to
the start of the next contractual month.
2. Bidding will close at 1200, Central Time, five (5) days after posting.
Final bid awards will be posted as soon as available but in no case
more than five (5) days after closing time for bidding

Comair gave me my schedule for the holidays. They had if figured out by at least Sept 22. They figured they would do me a favor over the holidays and let me be with my friends and family. How did they come up with such an awesome plan for me?? They just decided that a furlough would just the hook up I wanted:rolleyes:.

Here's to eating a ton of food and drinking a ton of beer:D
