Dude seriously, get off your high horse and quite thinking your something super speical we should all strive for. Your level of maturity is somewhere around my ankles and you are a terrible representation of the Mesaba family. And for the 10th time - you don't fly a "9". You fly a CRJ-900.

Banshee365 12-31-2008 11:04 AM

When did XJ get DC-9's?

It just frustrating to see ppl from Mesaba and such who sat reserve for maybe a month rub their monthly endeavors in the face of people like me that really irritates me. Great you barely sat reserve, but why don't you show some class while you are at. Everyone is going to have to sit reserve sometime in their career. If it isn't now, it most certainly will be later on down the road in your career.

[/rant]

I'll complain for the both of us then! LoL...Commuting to RSV in NOV/DEC after nearly two years at SKW was ridonculous, and made me madder than hell haha. Looks like things are getting slightly better on the UAL-front, however...Good news for those in ORD and DEN for sure.

ExperimentalAB 01-01-2009 06:35 PM

Kids  Seriously??

Oh, the joy of the internet, anybody can pretend to be anybody...

Banshee365 01-01-2009 07:01 PM

Yea well I'd call it a CL-600-2D24 and nothing shorter.

My daddy can beat up your daddy!

Confused 01-01-2009 07:06 PM

I hope I am way off but a few of those emails said we are up to 300 pilots fat......... if we do actually get these new airframes that doesnt make room for 300 pilots.

Just saying I hope I am wrong but the big F might still be a possibility for a few people.

It helps but if the 300 number is right the b F is still a very real possibility for those of us not portected by the no furlough clause.

somertime32 01-01-2009 07:18 PM

I guess this has happened before here and then the 900's went to Skywest so I have been told to believe it when I am actually sitting in one. haha

Confused 01-01-2009 07:23 PM

Exactly dont believe it until it says ASA on the side and old Bill is sittin up front

Do you hold a conversation with yourself in person too? Or just when you're pretending to be an EV pilot on the webboards?

Confused 01-01-2009 08:22 PM

Anybody think the Skywest stock is gonna keep climbing??

Why would you EVER own any airline stock? I would highly advise against it.

Purpleanga 01-02-2009 01:24 AM

Just an observation. ASA has 1731 active pilots bases on APC with 149 airplanes. Even if the 10 airplanes arrive, that is still way overstaffed, and who knows what might happen by June 09. That seems so distant especially with the current state of the industry. My furlough company is currently operating with more airplanes than active pilots! How a company still has kept pilots that require sim sessions to stay current is beyond me.

USMC3197 01-02-2009 03:08 AM

Because we still turn a profit..... for now. We also don't really have 1731 pilots. That list is out of date new list should be out this month. Though I don't expect it be much less then that.

afterburn81 01-02-2009 05:21 AM

Last time I heard there were almost 100 people on leave or awarded a COMA. I'm not sure how accurate that # is but if you look at the lists it looks like it's more.

acl65pilot 01-02-2009 05:38 AM

If they can get 200 pilots to take COMA each month, I am sure that they would do it. Make em come back every three months to stay current. It is a lot cheaper than a furlough. Sometimes, it is just easier to furlough and cut the carrying costs. Especially, if DAL is renegotiating their reimbursement structure.

evskyking 01-02-2009 07:09 AM

How many of the 1700 are actually line pilots?

Unlike most airlines, our instructor pilots are on the seniority list. So, our ratio might be a bit off because of that.

Avroman 01-02-2009 09:55 AM

Same at Mesaba, most instructors are on the master senority list.

Eh? 159 aircraft x 5.5 crews per plane=1749 pilots needed....

It's "Beal".

" The only reason you flight attand-DANTS are back there is cause we can't fit a coke machine through the door honey... "

John Pennekamp 01-04-2009 05:43 AM

I like to tell the new FOs that the best way to make friends with Beal is to hurry out to the airplane, complete the safety check, get everything warmed up and ready, program the FMS and ACARS... then put a Diet Coke in his cup holder and a seat belt extender neatly folded on his seat. He really likes that.

evskyking 01-04-2009 06:52 PM

I just heard from someone in management that there is a memo coming out on friday about a round of furloughs. Anyone else heard anything?

I heard also if you carry a box of Twinkies, his blood sugar never gets low and he won't be cranky at all! Also isn't bad to brush up on your Zagat restaurant reviews either!

Is that from the same person you heard the last 5 900 are gonna go to SKW? Dude... you need to find something better to do with your time.
