The Smallest Regional Aircraft EVER!
I was jumpseating home yesterday into Atlanta, and we were following a Navaho on the ILS. I couldn't believe it, and I made the comment "Oh he must be going to the FBO" since we were landing on the north side. Well we all pulled off, and he started taxiing to the terminal. We ended up pulling into the gate right next to him (I was on AA, and apparently they use AA gates. Some Delta guy made the comment on the radio "I'm sorry, did you say a Navajo?" "Well, I know we were cutting costs and everything but wow." We were laughing hysterically. It was just a funny site to see a little plane like that in Atlanta. It looked so out of place. I asked the gate agent and she laughed and said it was "Wings Air." I've never heard of them before. LOL but that Delta guy had us laughing so hard our sides hurt. It was just the way he said it. Just thought I'd share this with you guys. It's always nice to have a thread not bickering about which regional is better than the next!

I don't mean this to sound ugly, but how long have you been in aviation? Navajos used to do a lot of commuter flying. I'm sure it does look funny now, but Navajos are good airplanes. I miss flying them.

Just remember that if the worst should happen and you're furloughed...a Navajo job doesn't seem so bad then...

Cape Air flies 121 in CE-402's, and they pull right up to the terminals in PVD and BOS. Not a big deal?! I have some good time in both Twin Cessna's and Navajos, and they are both pretty capable ships.

He used to scratch his head when one of the guys would leave to go to BizEx to fly a Saab for 14.5.
But, I guess it was advancement.
