saw an ad on findapilot.com for skywest anyone heard news of this?

It is posted on the SkyWest website and dated 12-31-08. Probably either automated or just collecting resumes for the future I am guessing.

I saw it as well. Post date was 12-31-08 with a closing date of 12-31-08.

I'm guessing it was some sort of an error.

Someone has to pickup that Mesa flying in a month.

I am in the hiring pool for skywest and called Ms. Ence regarding the posting... She said there was no interview dates or classes set up to her knowledge but those in the hiring pool would be first to be called.
I hope they are hiring soon because I'm ready to leap frog companies. :D

How many are in the pool now anyways?

I'm in the top third for the EMB pool...I believe there is roughly 55 in the EMB pool and 60 something in the CRJ pool. Those were the numbers back in October when I spoke with them.

I don't know when they might resume hiring, but they will exhaust the pools first. I was hired in May and still waiting for a class.

There's a posting on WFFF for SkyWest First Officers now (as of 1/3/08). I'm gonna go out on a limb and say they are going to show up at the Miami job fair to collect resumes and knock some of the rust off the HR reps. We shall see.

Just got an email this morning -0350a- from one of their recruiters. Here is the body of it:

"Thank you for your interest in a First Officer position with SkyWest Airlines.
While we are currently gathering resumes, we are not actively conducting
interviews at this time. Please continue to visit SkyWest Airlines - A leader among regional airlines to update
your profile and receive the latest information on future opportunities.
Additionally, we will contact you and let you know when we begin interviewing in the future".

Well at least there's hope. Has anyone gotten it too?.
