Yes.
That statement is just dumb.
Tell that to all of the furloughees that have gone to Gojets. My personal rule for posting here is that I don't post anything that I wouldn't say to someone's face. I seriously doubt that you could say that to a Gojet pilot's face.
Fresh meat for the grinder, boys.
Is anyone familiar with 61.153(c)? No? Let me refresh your memory:
§ 61.153 Eligibility requirements: General.
To be eligible for an airline transport pilot certificate, a person must:
(c) Be of good moral character;
Haven't met a GoJetter yet who deserves the license.

How many Goatjetters have YOU met, In Hoc? He works for TSA, as do I. I've seen more than enough of those scumbags than I care to think about. That whole company is just one big rotten apple, not just one or two bad apples.

Since I've heard Gojets' contract for the American flying will be ending soon...... even besides the 'is it the right thing to do' question, is it a good idea to begin with?

If the company you're going to doesn't require you to give up your seniority what is the interest for the company you're being furloughed from to make you give up the seniority? You're a trained pilot and when hiring picks up again it's going to cost less to put you in flying status than a street guy. Someone explain. I'm pretty sure Trans States doesn't make you give up your seniority number if you go somewhere, I could be wrong.
I heard that Mesaba was also requiring furloughed pilots to give up their seniority numbers once hired.
What I wonder is if they require the same thing of furloughed major pilots and if so what major pilots do while on furlough.
