Default Jepp 1" Binder: Leather or Plastic?

Looking for some insight from anyone out there who has either the Jepp 1" Bonded Leather binder or the Jepp 1" Superior Plastic binder. I have both types in the 2 inch size, but am looking to give the 1"er a shot as a trip binder. As far as durability and usability go any pros-cons? I know that the 1" leather will stay in the side chart clip in the CRJ-900, but I'm not sure if I've seen anyone with the 1" plastic binder do the same.

Any feedback is much appreciated. I like the durability of Jepp's products and the plastic binder is nearly half as much as the leather, and imho the plastic holds up better and lookes nicer. Thanks again in advance!

Doesn't matter, really. Whatever your preference is.

Bought a brand new 1" leather Jepp binder on ebay for $10 shipped! I'd definately check there first... you may have to wait around a while to find a good deal, but you can get a Jepp for the "WalMart" price!

I got a small 1" three ring binder from Staples for about 5 bucks. It even has little pockets on the inside covers where I can stash en-route charts. Alas, after a year the vinyl is starting to peel off and expose the cardboard. I figure I can duct tape it and probably get at least another year out of it.

I have the same one from Staples, and got almost 5 years out of it before the duct tape even touched it.

I bought both. I find that the leather one is slightly smaller, therefore fits better. I use the Jepp non-leather one for my -700/-900 differences documentation.
