Having a "That's not my job" attitude is not entirely bad. It may seem selfish and lazy, but it helps keep the team in teamwork. If pilots loaded bags, checked-in pax, de-iced aircraft and performed other vital functions then there wouldn't be a need for ramp agents. I wouldn't want kindness to show up in the job description. I wouldn't want the company to even think of asking me to do someone elses job. If the station is understaffed then it is the stations problem and nobody elses. A few late departues due to lack of employees might help a few more people get their job back. It just seems that you were on the recieving end of a couple employees showing there butts. It's un-professional, but it does and will continue happen none the less.
