A possible sign of a fraudulent pilot is an improperly worn uniform. When a pilot who is asking for your jumpseat appears suspicious in any manner, do what is safest for your passengers.

Looked funny to me! Sorry, but I just lost respect for any Mesaba pilots intentionally miswearing their uniforms to one-up their brother and sister pilots. Very unprofessional.
