Do you not get paid for Deadheads? That is absurd. I know XJT gets paid 100% for deadheads. Rightfully so...
I'd much rather be up front in that roomy cockpit than stuck in the back of a cramped 737 from EWR-IAH..

Yes, that tops it.
I fly for commutair. We do not get paid for deadheads. We have no work rules beyond the FAA legal requirements. I get 9 days off a bid while on a reserve line. Its better than being furloughed, but not my much.

At 9E my buddy was deadheaded from Memphis to Detroit to fly the oubound leg of a real short highspeed.....Stayed the night and was deadheaded back to Memphis. 2 days 2 Deadheads and maybe 1 hour flight pay.....Our deadheads are 50% pay......Just wanted you to know your not alone.....
