I don't know about all of the 135's, but I know at least a couple of them went to some outfit in India. RAH had me DH down to Hot Springs where they were doing some maintenance. We had to do a test flight (which was REALLY fun btw
) and afterward, we flew it to CMH with the Indian guys and one maintenance guy on board. The Indian gentlemen were very interested in the plane and told us they were starting some sort of small airline back home. They asked us if we wanted to come fly for them, and we told them we'd think about it (our polite way of saying "no thankyou"). I'm not sure if the A/C was already sold at that point or not, but I think they were very impressed.

I wonder if they looked at any that XE used to operate.

I wouldn't count on much if any hiring even with an increase in flying, since PBS will be starting soon. That will cause about a 10% cut in the need for pilots.... So supposedly even with increased flying for the summer we still will be about 100 overstaffed (before couting any types of temporary leave) because of PBS starting.

Saabs in Florida!
Man, that sounds like fun. Having to double HP on the ground to keep people from passing out and then bouncing in the thermals at 3,000 ft all the way to your destination......wait, that sounds just like the Saabs in Houston.

Also the staffing situation question was asked in recurrent Thursday and my previous post was the answer given.

Not to thread hijack here, but what is PBS?? (Yes I am aware of public broadcasting station for all you smart donkeys!) I've seen people mention it before, but I'm not quite sure what it is. I believe it has something to do with the bidding system, but I'm not sure how it affects staffing.
