That's interesting. I remember airlines from all over the world coming into Moses. Not for scheduled service obviously...just for flight training and such. Especially JAL. Boeing has/had a big presence there as well. I guess I never realized NWA and UAL both had pax service. I just remember hopping on the Horizon Dash 8 over to Seattle. I honestly believe the flight over the Cascade Mountain range on a perfectly clear day is the most beautiful flight there is.

Didn't JAL just pull its last 747 out of Moses Hole??? Think their training center is kaput. Also heard that the Colgan FO in the BUF accident was a Big Bend grad..RIP. Mwh tower is very accomodating. Whenever the freight dogs or Horizons metros would show up the tower would ask what weather they needed to land. By some miracle the visibility was always just enough, even though you couldn't see the plane parked next to you on the ramp.:)

You know, I never understood why WA and OR don't get more EAS funding. Its too bad the communities have to pony up the money, because it seems to dry up pretty quick. Meanwhile Montana and Kansas have up to three communities that are within a 50 miles radius, a total population of at best 25,00 and service to TWO hubs!
