I have flown with several reserve FO's in the past few weeks, they have all made the comment they are flying 70+ hours a month. Most of them HAVE been extended into days off. A few were even JA'd upon checking out from an assignment.
As far as using the displacement to get the ca's = fo's, that is complete crap. You will always need more Ca's than FO's if only to cover the fact that Ca's typically get more vacation time. This displacement was strictly driven by the almighty dollar. Some idiot, d-bag beancounter thought they could save money. They are going to trip over a $10 bill to save a nickel. Just watch our block hours increase in the next few months and the company start paying fines again because we are short crews.

Jeez!!! I thought things at 9L were bad, lol. I'm sorry guys, sounds like you're getting a F-P-M-I-T-A (federal pound me in the a$$) from mngmt. I was hoping that once 9L made the move to MEM completely that things might actually start to improve once we get a contract and stuff. Maybe I was wrong. Sounds like things are just as bad over there.
My sympathies!
