Now that we have to put up with all this advertising (I understand) could we please get a button at the bottom of each page to take us back to the main page of the forum we are in? They have two links on each page at FI and it saves a couple of clicks to get back to the forum so you can pick your next thread.

Just a thought. Thanks for the site.

Or are there any MOD's that work at places like Republic that can run us through CASS to validate our status.

That won't work for anybody not employed by a 121 carrier...

What mode do you browse the forum in? (UserCP>Edit Options>Thread Display Options).

Do you use ALT+left arrow as a browser short cut? Try it!

Just a guess, the TSA might have problems with use of CASS for unofficial use.

Landings.com is usually a pretty good source...they keep their pilot records up to date. All you have to do is search, I think they get their info directly from the FAA.

I would have to agree with this. The other thing is future employers could turn this in to a way to do research into things like your opinions on labor issues, ect. of their prospective employees, and that could cause you trouble interviewing for your next job. Some employers already look for you on social networks such as facebook, and myspace. Remember what you say online is considered public record. They could be able to decide not to hire you if they saw you were vocal about somthing management did at your last airlines you've worked for or things like that, they could say you could come in and poison other employees, or they could decide not to hire you simply because you posted an opinion on something that they didnt agree with. Sad but things like this can and do happen. I think APC does a very good job of monitoring these blogs, heck even I have recieved 1 slap on the wrist for inadvertantly violating TOS in the last year, although I had a very productive conversation with the Mod about it...lol He was right and I had to sheepishly apoligize..but they do a pretty good job.

Also remember that any records that APC wopuld keep are subject to being hacked, and would you want your info out there in the hands of someone in here who might have a grudge because you disagreed on some hot button issue ( not that that would ever happen we all know pilots arent type A personalities or anything, i just think that would cause too much potential for issues. You can ussually tell who the pilots are as most 121 ops have things about them that only a pilot would really know.

Remember too that not all 121 operations and a lot of 135 are not in cass.

The reason I say no is not because I am mis-informed, but out of fear of lawyers. If I were to make a hypothesis, I do not want to be taken out of context and to have my name and certificate behind the out of context statement. Nor do I want to be scrutinized by both present or future employers.
