Default AWAC Updates

Hey, any of the active AWAC pilots have any new news or rumors on more recalls after the April block hours came out last week. We (the furloughee's) haven't heard anything and was curious to hear what everyones thoughts were. Also if there is any other rumors etc that are out there let me know...

Things are pretty much status quo here. Our block hours for the next month show just a gradual increase over the previous. I can say, especially for FOs, that we can definitely use more pilots but I think one major hurdle is the fear that our hours will be reduced again in the fall forcing another furlough.

Believe me when I say that every single pilot here wants you guys back though. Hang in there!

That's exactly what they are trying to prevent. The 9 that have come back were told that they should not fear getting furloughed again. It was also mentioned that no more would come back until they knew things were going to swing up rather than down later this summer.

In talking with different captains, the consensus is that we are still getting used and abused and feel like we need more pilots back.

Management pilots have been getting called from Toontown to fly 4-day trips, I would think that means we are short on pilots.

"Denied due to lack of RSV coverage" that seems to be the norm. Sure all of us would love to see them keep recalling!

They could have 100 F/Os on reserve and they always say "lack of reserve coverage".

As of June 1...

8 captain upgrades (for the ones who were downgraded)
8 more furlough recalls for a total of 25 F/O's recalled since March.
