Hiring? Claudette just emailed me yesterday, "Looks like it's going to be awhile before we do any more pilot hiring."

Furlough? The rumor is always there in times like these.

Rumor anywhere from 100-200 furloughs.

Even if you make it to eagle you still have the 12 year upgrade to think about. I would just join the AF or the reserves.

I think AE will show some movement but it won’t be until American Airlines finishes contract negations with AA pilots. I don’t think we will be hiring in 2009. It’s possible that pilots swimming in the pool or from a canceled class might get called back. I would venture a guess that 2010 will show hiring like 2007 and 2008.

Eagle is also suspending service to DAL so the new cities are probibly just the reallocation of that metal.

There is no meeting on the 9th. There is a MEC meeting on the 21th.

I would say 100 at the most if any. 200 would put every RSV from JFK EMJ, ORD CRJ, DFW ATR, and most of ORD EMJ on the street.
