I'm no mathematician, but 20,000 shares at 0.04c is 800$ in the initial investment. Sold at .14c for $2,800... he made $2,000. Good for him if he really bought at .04 and sold at .14. I wouldn't hold onto it any longer, Mesa's longer term trend is down and the house of cards could come crashing down if the court's decision is not in their favor.

Cut the guy some slack. He's just trying to gin up some buying activity for a stock he holds 20K shares of. It's not like he is trying to start a false rumor or something (just in... Mesa will be getting a $20 billion contract from the US government to fly illegal aliens back to Mexico).

I'm not sure what the resistance level is for MESA, but I'm pretty sure that if I made 2K on a penny stock there would be some pretty major profit taking. People WILL start heading for the exits, and smart investors know better than to fall in love with a stock, especially a penny stock.

yeah, i dont know where the previous poster got $20....maybe because it didnt involve the 60-1 rule, he was at a loss.....

nevertheless, no I HAVENT sold....I think it will continue up for a little more...HOWEVER, only a fool would let it ride with out a "stop order" trailing the stock...

anyway, it's an interesting venture....

Well you are partly right. Delta has been shrinking CVG and Comair has been bearing a disproportionate brunt of that. Comair is more reliable (as is everyone else) compared to Mesa. Comair isn't going to JFK because they intend to grow it, they are going because Mesa/Freedom wouldn't cancel their flights to allow Delta to take the slots when delays hit (almost every day) Comair (and soon Mesaba as well) as wholly owneds can't tell Delta no when the call comes to cancel flights at JFK. That's the big reason Freedom is being swapped with Comair. Any growth at JFK will come when Mesaba is moved out of SLC and into JFK.

How much commision do you have to pay your broker on that? Also, you now face a captial gains tax. So really you've only made about $100.00. I would invest in AIG right now than ever invest in an airline. Don't forget that account management fee. If you don't have the funds to pay the tax, I'd dump that stock before it hits $2.00.
