Isn't it soooo nice to always put the longest delay on the highspeed since the crew doesn't time out.... just fall asleep at the controls....

Try Int'l Supp 121... we have NO duty day, literally. 16 hours, ha, sheesh, i wish! My record was being on the plane in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for 14 HOURS for MX before taking off for Cairo (3.5 hours), and then Brussels (4.5). Our duty day with this single crew was 24 hours - oops!

hahaha! very funny. Are we getting paid... haha. Wow.

The real answer to if we are getting paid to wait for hours, Yes we are. $1.55 an hour at Compass we are. Some of the higher paid airlines are up to $1.65 or maybe if you are lucky $1.70 an hour. Per diem. That's your pay. Dont spend it all at once.

I thought you guys start getting paid when the doors are locked?

If the wheels up time is more than an hour we stay at the gate and usually hold off boarding the pax. Did you really think we just load everyone up into the airplane then close the doors to sit there for 5 hours waiting for a wheels up time?

Blocked over 4 hours JFK-ALB last summer. Glad to see things are already ramping up this year, should be a fun time. I'll be watching from my couch...enjoy!
