Longest 'wheels up' time ever

I am sitting in SYR right now waiting on an EDC time to PHL 4:20 after the scheduled time. And the airplane was actually here in SYR on time.

Unbelievable.

You've flown to EWR, right?

Avroman 03-26-2009 03:45 PM

Yesterday we were delayed long enough for our LAN highspeed that the pax had enough time to DRIVE there AND back and still catch their flight there from DTW. From what I've heard that's been standard all month...
Isn't it soooo nice to always put the longest delay on the highspeed since the crew doesn't time out.... just fall asleep at the controls....

6 hours! RDU to EWR back in the day. We took off with 2min. to spare until we would of timed out. it was by far the worst for me.
5 hours trying to go from EWR to BWI. If the captain was cool we would just tell the pax the real deal and keep the door open so the FA's wouldn't feel alone with the crazy pax.
A few times to beat the EDT time when we got out of EWR going south at 6000ft with T-Storm all the way down. I don't think you RJ guys can beat that. LOL

Longest I've ever had was I blocked 3:15 EWR-IAD. We ended up flying it back tower enroute at 8,000ft.

I used to get so mad because we weren't block or better, but now that we are I don't care! haha! My trip this past week was blocked and credited at 20:00, and when we finished it was slightly over 22. B or B really takes some stress out of delays for me. I could care less about delays now, I need the cash badly as I'm in the middle of buying a house! ahhhh!!!!

4 hours 35 minutes block PHL-ELM, flight time 22 minutes. Yes PHL was in the dreaded SWAP

My personal best was 5:50 waiting in LAN going back to ORD
